Our Business Programming provides business education and entrepreneurship support in Houston for small business owners, startups, and aspiring entrepreneurs, with a strong focus on minority-owned and underserved businesses. Through practical workshops, mentorship, and community partnerships, this program focuses on business formation and registration, financial management, budgeting and cash flow, taxes and compliance, marketing and branding strategy, access to capital, and sustainable business growth. This programming is especially critical in Houston, where small businesses account for more than 99% of all businesses and over 40% are minority-owned, yet many entrepreneurs lack access to structured guidance, capital readiness education, and long-term planning resources.

By strengthening business literacy, operational confidence, and entrepreneurial leadership, LSCDF aims to support economic development, help local businesses scale responsibly, and create lasting income and job opportunities throughout the Houston community.
