Film
Our Film Programming is dedicated to expanding film education, workforce development, and creative access in Houston, one of the most culturally diverse and creatively rich cities in the nation. Through hands-on workshops, screenings, mentorship, and community partnerships, this program focuses on film education, storytelling, production and post-production training, career pathways in the film industry, and amplifying underrepresented voices, including women, people of color, and emerging filmmakers. This work is especially impactful in Houston, the fourth-largest city in the United States, where the creative economy continues to grow but access to structured film education and industry pipelines remains limited particularly for low-income communities.
Investing in film programming in Houston, we aim to strengthen the local creative economy, create career-ready opportunities in film, and empower storytellers to share authentic narratives that reflect Houston’s communities while building sustainable, long-term careers in the arts.
