Life Planning

Our Life Planning Programming provides life planning education designed to help individuals and families prepare for the future with clarity, confidence, and stability. Through workshops, community partnerships, and expert-led conversations, this program focuses on goal setting, estate and legacy planning basics, emergency preparedness, insurance awareness, career and life transitions, family planning conversations, and long-term decision-making aligned with personal values. This work is especially important in Houston, where nearly 1 in 5 residents live below the poverty line and many households lack access to guidance around planning for emergencies, medical decisions, or generational transitions often leading to financial strain and family stress during times of crisis.

 

By offering accessible life planning resources and practical education, LSCDF aims to strengthen personal resilience, family stability, and generational preparedness, empowering Houston residents to make informed life decisions that support financial wellness, peace of mind, and long-term economic mobility.
